The Perioperative Program Approval Committee of ORNAC, as of January 2021, has reviewed and revised the approval and renewal guidelines for Perioperative Programs.
Success in achieving ORNAC Perioperative Program Approval is for 3 years and includes the following benefits:
- Posting of Approved Program Information on the ORNAC Website;
- Posting in the ORNAC Journal;
- EBlast to Members regarding new or renewed Approved Programs; and
- Posting on various ORNAC Social Media accounts of Program Approval.
Letters of Intent for Perioperative Program Approval are now being accepted (see below).

Note: ORNAC’s Approval Process for Perioperative Programs is available only for those educational programs offering post-basic education for Registered Nurses. Programs offering perioperative education to both Registered Nurses and other health care providers within the same program will have only the RN curriculum evaluated or approved by ORNAC.
